Cochasqui Pyramids and Archeology (70 minutes away)

70 minutes from Hostería Cananvalle, near Tabacundo, you may visit  the Cochasqui ruins, a major pre-Incan ceremonial site with 20 truncated adobe pyramids, from approximately 800 A.D.  Guided tours are offered in Spanish. Most structures are not excavated but those that are give a good impression of what lies underground.
