Visit Otavalo’s famed craft market (the best known market in Ecuador), is open daily from 7 AM – 4 PM, 20 minutes from Hostería Cananvalle. Near Otavalo, you may choose to visit the Condor Reserve in Espejo (10 minutes from Otavalo), or go Cabanas del Lago at the San Pablo lake for miniature golf and water sports. Also near Otavalo is Peguche, home to some of the best weavers in Ecuador and also known for its musical instruments. The Peguche waterfall, a popular spot for tourists and locals, is a 20-minute hike from town, a 45-minute hike from Otavalo.
