Restaurant Open to the Public for Sunday Lunch, June 2013

Beginning on June 9, 2013, we are offering a new restaurant service, open to the public every sunday, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. In this restaurant, we are offering a new alternative of gourmet national and international food, under the supervision of the recognized chef from Imbabura, Hugo Benalcazar.

Organic Agriculture Course, October 2012

On Sunday, October 21, Ing Galo Varela professor of the Universidad Tecnica del Norte led a 1-day organic farming education course for over 20 neighboring farmers. Hosteria Cananvalle organized and sponsored the event as part of our commitment to social responsibility.

Participants were so interested in applying what they learned that all committed to attending a follow-up session in two weeks at which they’ll make organic fertilizers.

Inauguration and conferences in March 2012

March of 2012 was quite busy for us. We held an event for tour operators on March 21, and a workshop with seven people in the “blue room” on March 23-24. In terms of facilities, our new walking paths were finished, as was our conference room and family cabin (except for windows), we installed road signs from the Pensionado Atahualpa, we installed our cappuccino machine, and we composed two new Japanese Gardens with the help of Gilberto Reyes.

On this International Day of Peace we had a ceremony to bless our newly installed Peace Pole and to affirm our commitment to social responsibility, as well as to support and add value to youth leadership and service in the province of Imbabura.

Construction update: May 2011

Le mois dernier, le toit et les salles de bain de la cabane furent achevés. Le menuisier fait les portes et les fenêtres, la cabane est finie à 90 %.

Ce mois-ci, les massons finissent le sol et l’étage de la maison principale et commencent la construction du lavoir / des vestiaires / des douches et toilettes pour employés et campeurs. Un menuisier local va construire les meubles pour les chambres d’hôtel.
